Solo Vacation....Would you vacation alone?

I've always planned a trip by myself but never carried it out. The thought of going somewhere by my lonely seems like the most relaxing vacation on earth especially after months of stressful work. I could definitely get a lot of rest and only have to worry about feeding me. But...... The thought of being alone, traveling alone, eating alone sets in and I always change my mind. Traveling alone is a little scary to me. The world just isn't as safe as it once was years ago and I think most times that is why I cancel out on the solo trip and always take my kids. Maybe one day i will finally build the courage to go alone. What are your thoughts.........
